Champions League T20 2012 live: Sixers and Lions show the champions way
Champions League T20 2012 is proving to be the contest it was expected to be. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings were defeated in their first group matches of the Champions League 2012. The Harbhajan Singh led side were defeated by Lions while MS Dhoni’s Kings went down to Sydney Sixers.
Champions League T20 2012 started with the Titans defeating Scorchers at the Centurion while Delhi Daredevils triumphing over Kolkata Knight Riders in the second group match of the tournament. Titans proved too hot for the Scorchers while Daredevils seemed racy for the Knight Riders in the initial stages of the Champions League T20 2012.

Mumbai Indians, the winners of the last year’s edition of the Champions League T20 looked scratchy from the start and managed to score 157 runs. The big names of the Mumbai team failed to prove their worth in their first group match of the Champions League. Lions, on the other hand chased the score with eight wickets remaining as Neil McKenzie and Quinton de Kock forged a match-winning partnership.
Chennai Super Kings, a constant attraction in the final four of the Champions League T20 lost in a close run-chase against the Sydney Sixers as Steve Smith and Moises Henriques 75-run stand took the Australian team to 185. Shane Watson also proved his mettle with the bat as he scored a breezy 46.
Champions League T20 2012 moves to Cape town where Auckland looks to surprise the IPL winner, Kolkata Knight Riders. Auckland is one among the two teams which qualified for the main draws of the Champions League 2012. Knight Riders will looking to shrug off their first defeat and rise to the occasion.
