Ireland posted a total of 123 and the kangaroos chased the total in 15 overs. Australia have been placed in the bottom three of the international T20 rankings.
The other live match of T20 World Cup observed a gutsy display from Afghanistan against India. The 7 specialist batsmen of India were restricted to 159 by the Afghani bowling attack. Afghanistan gave India the scare when the Asian country was stranded at 79 for 5, but twenty overs proved a long time for the Gulf country to hold their enthusiasm and keenness.
In the last warm up match of the T20 World Cup, defending champions England defeated Pakistan by 15 runs in a low scoring game.
