Pakistan VS South Africa, India VS Australia takes center stage in World Twenty20 today

T20 World Cup super 8 schedule sets Pakistan VS South Africa and India VS Australia today in the Group 2 matches of the World Twenty20. The Asian giants India and Pakistan start their super 8 stage against two well established teams in this edition of the world cup.The first two matches of the World T20 ended in some thrilling finishes with Sri Lanka winning in a super over while England succumbing to the West Indies spin attack.

Pakistan face South Africa in the first encounter of today’s super 8 matches after leading its group in the initial stages of the World Twenty20. Pakistan would be hoping that their ace cards, Ajmal and Afridi perform to their potential, since the fast bowlers have failed to live up to the expectations prior to super 8 stages despite being rated as one of the best pace attacks in WorldT20. Pakistani captain, Hafeez confirmed the fact by saying, “We are blessed with some of the greats in Twenty20, especially Ajmal and Afridi.”

South Africa is looking ominous after beating Sri Lanka in the initial matches of the T20 World Cup, though the match was cut short by rain. No credit being stolen from the Proteas, the AB de Villiers led side is among the favourites to cross the super 8 stage. In the second match displayed by the super 8 schedule, India take on their Tasmanian rivals in a match which was termed as an ‘early grand final’ by Mike Hussey.

Australia has grown in strength arriving to the super 8 after their win against Ireland in the group match of the World Twenty20. Shane Watson performed in both the departments of bowling and batting in the rain shortened win of the Kangaroos over West Indies. India, on the other hand have had problems in their batting order prior to the super 8 stage, with Virat Kohli being the lone ranger for India in the T20 World Cup.

With tempers running high in the super 8 matches of the World Twenty20, the audience can expect some verbal volleys from both the sides.
