Adrian Lopez might give the Gunners the much needed fire power
Arsenal FC might not be in the best form this season and the Gunners are planning to change their fortunes by transferring the out of form players to other sides. Arsene Wenger is facing problems as the Emirates team is struggling to perform to their potential. Arsenal is now looking to transfer Andre Santos to Turkey as the player has not performed to the expectations of the club.
Andre Santos is on the radar of Turkish giants, Galatasaray as the club is expected to make a move on the player in the January transfer window. The Brazilian defender moved to Arsenal from Fenerbache for £6.2 million last August and has been at the Emirates for just 18 months. Arsene Wenger has favoured the Kieran Gibbs for the left side defence despite Santos being a specialist on the left wing.
Arsenal FC is also vying for Atletico Madrid’s forward Adrian Lopez to bolster their striking squad after the departure of Van Persie. Arsene Wenger is set to initiate talks with Atletico and is speculated to make an offer of £14.6 million, which might result in being a pricey investment.
It was reported that , Wenger decided to pull the plug on the Girourd deal to sign Lopez, but it was too late as the deal had already been finalised. With the January transfer window approaching, Arsenal FC might make another move on the Atletico player. Arsenal lost their previous game to Norwich with Wenger giving credit to the Canaries, which is an unusual occurrence.
Commenting on their loss, Wenger said, “You have to give credit to Norwich today. They played well, were completely committed and they deserved the win. Maybe we underrated the difficulty we would face.”
