Arsenal transfer news and rumours: Loic Remy, Wesley Sneijder, Luke Shaw
Arsenal FC transfer news suggest that the Gunners have joined the race for signing Marseille striker, Loic Remy, during this transfer window. Arsene Wenger had earlier intimated that signing a striker is placed on the top of his list of prospects. Reports hint that the Emirates side are leading the race to sign the striker at a fee of £10 million.
Loic Remy has been on the radar of many clubs, which include Schalke, Inter Milan, QPR and Newcastle, but the Gunners might procure him as he is a fan of the club and would love to play for the Emirates side. Though the Gunners have striking potential, they are struggling to find a right balance for the side.
Wesley Sneijder is hoping for a Premier League move as he asked his advisers to hatch a plan to make it possible. The Dutch international is on the verge of signing a new contract with Galatasaray, but has made it clear that his preference lies in moving to an English club. Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are the clubs the player is targeting.
The first talks between the club officials and Sneijder have yielded no result due to the player’s £200,000-a-week wage demands. Inter Milan has left the decision on the player as Inter Milan president, Massimo Moratti said, “Galatasaray’s offer satisfies us. Now it depends on the player.”
Arsenal FC target Luke Shaw has declined offers from many premier league clubs deciding to stay at Southampton. The Gunners, Manchester City and Chelsea were in talks with the 17-year-old, who has been a revelation since he appeared on the team.
