Arsenal FC Latest Transfer News & Rumours: Lewis Holtby
Arsenal transfer news and rumours hint at Arsene Wenger’s German love connection. The Gunners already display a collection of Bundesliga players in its ranks with the likes of Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker, Serge Gnabry and Thomas Eisfeld. With the January transfer window closing in, Wenger has reportedly prepared a list of recruits.
First on the list is reported to be Bayer Leverkusen forward, Andre Schurrle, who triggered Wenger’s attention through a brilliant display against Greece in the Euro 2012. The forward has not been on scoring terms since his move to Leverkusen, but has sparked a twinkle in many eyes through a demonstration of his attacking skills.
Arsenal boss, Wenger might be looking to build a back-up for the likes of Giroud and Podolski with the new sign-ups. Second on the list is Schalke midfielder, Lewis Holtby, who has been linked with the Emirates side for a couple of months now. Arsenal will have to look for an adaptive player if the talks with Theo Walcott fail again.
Wenger’s third Bundesliga monitored player is South Korean forward, Heung-Min Son, who definitely fits in a winger’s role. The 20-year old has scored five goals in nine league appearances and is adaptive in his positions on the field. Wenger might be looking to strengthen the bench with the presence of young talent.
There has been no news about the transfer of the star of Arsenal’s 7-5 win over Reading; Theo Walcott. With his performance in the last game, fans would be hoping that the England international continues wearing Arsenal’s colours.
