Arsenal FC transfer news : Clubs future uncertain as top players leave
Arsenal Defender Bacary Sagna raises questions regarding the club’s latest decision to sell out two of its team mates Robin Van Percie and Alex Song. This comes as an unexpected decision by the club especially before the start of a new season.
Seeing many of his team-mates leave in his four year career in the club, Bacary is the only player left unpicked in the squad until now. Fans of the club are pretty much worried of the future of the club as the French full back is currently recovering from a broken leg and could be in contention to return by the start of the next month.
“I still do not understand. It is huge loss for the club. When you see the two best players of last season leave, you have a lot of questions”, said Bacary over the step taken by Arsenal.
The French defender will be heading into the final year of his current deal at the end of the season, and maintains as yet there has been no talk over an extension.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that Sagna does not follow the same path as his French compatriots by leaving the club. The Gunners star does only have two years left on his current contract and we know too well what happens when an Arsenal player reaches the Summer time of their final year.
Sagna will be fighting his way back into the reinvigorated Arsenal defence, who are the only team in all four English leagues yet to concede a goal this season.
Despite the losses of the players, the club had mentioned on a positive note grasping a 2-0 lead against Liverpool with its newly signed players Lukas Podolski and Santil Cazorla.
