Arsenal transfer news: Ashley Williams, Nicolas N’koulou, Jeremy Toulalan
Arsenal FC transfer news is ripe with speculations after the gutsy performance of the Gunners in the second leg against Bayern Munich. The Emirates side were knocked out of the Champions League due to the away goals rule despite their 2-0 win. Arsene Wenger would now be looking to finish in the top four of the Premier League as a solace for the side.
Ashley Williams has been linked to the Gunners with a summer transfer move after he led Swansea to the Capital One Cup. Daily Star reports that Swansea boss, Michael Laudrup, is fearing the exit of the defender at the end of the season. Apart from the Gunners, Manchester United FC and Liverpool FC are pursuing the Wales player, who has been priced at £10 million.
Marseille defender, Nicolas N’koulou has stated that he will decide his future at the French club at the end of the season. Arsenal FC has been strongly linked with the 22-year-old for a transfer move during the summer transfer window as earlier reports hinted that the Emirates side was already in talks with the Cameroon international.
Voicing his thoughts, N’koulou said, “I want to finish the season strongly and then we will talk about my position. I love Marseille, they have been great to me. I am happy if everyone is a winner.” N’Koulou was the subject of a bid from Newcastle during the January transfer window, but the French side declined the offer.
Arsenal FC seems to preparing for another Malaga raid as they target midfielder, Jeremy Toulalan. Arsene Wenger has been looking for a replacement of Alex Song since his move to Barcelona FC. Toulalan would be the third signing for Arsenal FC from Malaga with Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal being the first two.
