Arsenal transfer news and rumours: Wilfried Zaha, Diame, Serge Aurier
Arsenal FC transfer news brings forward the surprising re-entry of the Gunners in the pursuit of signing Crystal Palace starlet, Wilfried Zaha. The Emirates side have dropped out of the race earlier for signing the Ivory Coast-born striker, but are now reported to pull their socks up to give competition to the lone ranger, Manchester United FC.
The Red Devils were chasing the striker unchallenged as many clubs opted out of the chase, but Arsenal FC seems to have a changed their tactics. Both the premier league clubs are looking to procure Zaha as they look to bolster their striking line-up and are reported to plan for talks with Palace chairman, Steve Parish.
Newcastle winger, Hatem Ben Arfa has expressed his desire to move to the Emirates side in near future. Arfa has been linked to Arsenal FC in the past, though the January transfer window might not bring a feasible result for the attacking mid-fielder. Talking about the future possibilities of a transfer move Arfa said, “I am interested in Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Today, these clubs are above Newcastle.”
Arsene Wenger is looking to sign West Ham midfielder, Diame, who reportedly has a release clause of £3.5 million. West Ham have been looking to negotiate a new deal with the player, but the contract talks have been stalled. With Mikel Arteta set to miss the rest of the month through injury, the Gunners need to sign a midfielder during this January transfer window.
Arsenal FC is reported to prepare a bid for their long-term target, Fernando Llorente as they plan to increase their striking power. The Emirates side has also been linked to the Toulouse defender, Serge Aurier as a possible replacement for Bacary Sagna.
