Arsenal transfer news and rumours: Radamel Falcao, David Villa, Edinson Cavani
Hours later Arsenal declared its £17.8 million profit and cash reserves of £123.3 million, transfer news reports suggest that the Gunners are ready to pursue big names on the football field. The Emirates side has been criticised for not purchasing players despite the cash reserves and the Gunners might be looking to change the view of the critics.
Radamel Falcao has been linked to Arsenal FC, but some reports suggest that the Atletico Madrid striker will be moving to Stamford Bridge during the summer. Arsene Wenger had stated earlier that the Gunners can afford to buy the striker and his claims were supported by Arsenal chairperson Peter Hill-Wood.
Hill-Wood said, “We are in a position where we can compete with most people. If there is someone we really want, then the price guide is secondary. I understand that they want us to win everything, but so do I. But we are in a damned sight better position than a lot of people. Let me be quite clear that our intention is to keep our best players and recruit new talent to make us stronger.”
Arsenal FC target, David Villa, might be available for a move during the summer transfer window. Recent reports suggest that the Camp Nou side is now ready to transfer the Spanish striker if they receive a bid of f £15 million. Villa was strongly linked to Arsenal FC during the January transfer window, but Barca refused to sell.
Napoli striker, Edinson Cavani has also been amidst transfer rumours pertaining to Arsenal FC. Cavani has also been on the radar of Manchester City. Who do you think Arsenal FC should buy during the summer transfer window?
