Santos continues to be a spectator at the Emirates

The question on everybody’s lips this morning is will Wilfried Zaha be an Arsenal player next year, whilst the media nudge the pendulum in favour of the North London club, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Browett has other ideas…

In a recent statement on a fans forum he stated talented youngster Wilfried Zaha is not for sale, regardless of the suitor, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or any club outside the Premiership.

The story flows through the back pages this week that the Championship side could lose their prize asset who is touted as Theo Walcott’s replacement at Arsenal, despite the hearsay the Eagles boss was quick to quash such rumours.

“I can assure you that Wilfried is not ‘for sale’,” the chief commented on a fan’s forum, published in The Guardian.

“We hope that he’ll be playing Premier League football next season. For us. Even if that doesn’t happen, he’s only 19 and still learning his trade in surroundings where he is comfortable and happy. He’s on a five-year contract and we really don’t need the money.

Okay Zaha’s a no-go for now, but the transfer talk doesn’t stop there, Abel Hernandez’s ears will be burning this morning as he is the latest bundle of footballing talent to be linked with a move to the Emirates.

Hernadez, dubbed an attacking phenomenon, is currently enjoying his fifth season for Palermo Serie A side, bagging himself a substantial amount of goals.

The South American has just turned 22 and has already established himself as a regular in the Uruguayan national side alongside heavy hitters Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani.

One last transfer blast allows for an Andre Santos cameo, he’s not entirely satisfied with playing backup to teammate Gibbs and is considering returning to Turkish football.

Santos tweeted: “I would like to state clearly that I have a lot of respect for Fenerbache, and I love Istanbul but for now I am a Gunner… For now, I have not received an offer from a Turkish team.

“However, if I receive an offer one day, thinking what is best for my family, I will make a decision.”
