Barcelona vs AC Milan match preview: Will this be a one-sided affair?

Barcelona vs AC Milan is the next on the list of Champions League round of 16 matches. With the form the Spanish club is currently in, this match might be termed as a one-sided affair. AC Milan is struggling with injuries and the Italian club will also not have the services of their recent recruit, Mario Balotelli, as he is cup-tied.

Lionel Messi has become synonymous with Barcelona FC and is expected to go all guns blazing as he always does. In addition to Ballon d’Or award winner there is also Iniesta, who will need some attention from the players of Milan. David Villa and Adriano could not make it to Milan while Xavi has returned from an injury.

AC Milan is reeling from injuries as midfielders, Antonio Nocerino and Mathieu Flamini will miss the first leg of the match. Stephen El Shaarawy may or may not appear for the match as he needs to pass a late fitness test. Barcelona FC has defeated Milan in their last seven meetings and have knocked the Italian side out of the Champions League twice.

The Spanish club has been in ominous form this season and is racing to a La Liga title with 12 points clear to the second placed team, which is Atletico Madrid. AC Milan can draw hope from the two defeats suffered by the Camp Nou side, which includes an upset victory by Celtic.

Milan have defeated Barcelona twice in eight games and would be looking to better that record. With Messi in sublime touch Barca might have the upper hand, but nothing is set in stone. Whose side are you on?
