Following in the footsteps of social media hurricane Ashely Cole, young protégée Ryan Bertrand has taken to Twitter with a similar foul mouthed rant, arguing that a sore throat would not stop him playing for England, but in his very own choice of words as is the fashion these days.

The outburst was not a direct attack on the FA, more a judgment of error as far as conversing with the public may go, using the F word wrapped up in a neat hashtag, fortunately the Chelsea full back will not incur any disciplinary action for his out-of-character quote.

Bertrand initially withdrew from the England squad to face San Marino but was rattled by insinuations that a sore throat was the sole cause of his omission, he commented to fans:

“Do you think a ‘sore throat’ could stop me being a part of a match for my club or country? #yourf******nuts this is what every boy dreams of.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich made a modest Surrey-based tech firm’s dreams come true yesterday, agreeing to buy a considerably large volume of its shares.

Abramovich surprised the market floor when he sent the stock soaring for AFC Energy, leaping 17% to 33.25p, now the Russian billionaire has “clean power” fuel cell technology to add to his bulging portfolio of accounts.

Stunned AFC boss Ian Williamson expressed his delight at the buy-in:

“You could say I was pretty surprised. A while ago he and his team decided they would like to have a look at what we were doing. They then said they would like to make an investment.

In global football affairs Frank Lampard may be on his way to China to see out the remainder of his playing career, several big sources including the Sun have jumped on this item.

Both Shanghai Shenhua and Beijing Guoan of the Chinese Allegedly Super League have shown interest, providing more than enough Chinese takeaway pun for the back pages, we choose to rise above that.
