Fist things first, the mighty friendly between England and Brazil offers Chelsea veteran Ashley Cole his 100th international cap, with the football back pages asking the question ‘will fans boo or cheer England’s greatest ever left back?’

Cole’s off-the-field antics have eaten away at his chances of leaving a legacy of that of a stereotypical role model, so the critics say, however tonight the focus will be on the Chelsea man’s defensive qualities when he goes up against Brazil’s swift line of attack.

Speaking of which, the rumours from the realm of transfer agents suggest Chelsea chiefs may be keeping a close eye on this home game for reasons other than inspecting the health of their England and Brazil internationals.

Santos striker Neymar is tipped to leave his club in the summer is said to be a Stamford Bridge target, therefore a decision could be cast in stone on whether to bid for the goal machine depending on his display at Wembley.

And Chelsea’s Brazil stars Oscar, David Luiz and Ramires have been insisting Neymar to join them in west London for the start of the 2013/14 Premiership campaign, which will surely be the major buy that seals the exit door shut on Fernando Torres’ career.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG are also believed to be in for the Santos star, which may prompt Chelsea to move quickly if the club is keen to see transfer target Neymar wearing the royal blue strip.
