Chelsea FC latest team news, transfer rumours roundup: Frank Lampard
Chelsea fans might see a completely new side, once Di Matteo is done through the transfers this season. The Blues are looking to revamp their side as the old-timers are finding the bench and the young blood seems to be taking centre-stage. Frank Lampard might be the next player to leave Chelsea FC after being demoted to a squad player.
Lampard is all set to join his England team-mate David Beckham at Los Angeles Galaxy in a free transfer move. Galaxy has offered the mid-fielder a two-year contract with Chelsea demanding no transfer fee. Lampard had earlier expressed that his football career might be coming to an end with age, but he harbours the ambition of playing the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Robert Di Matteo named Lampard as a substitute in the Blues Saturday 4-2 win at Tottenham as the trio of Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard took the field ahead of him. Chelsea has been in exceptional form this season as they look to hold the title in their ranks again. The Blues remain unbeaten in eight games with just dropping two points in this season.
Commenting on Premier League title hopes, Mata, who top-scored with two goals said, “It is too early to think about winning the Premier League, it is our aim of course, but what we have to do is keep going and keep on enjoying ourselves.” With Chelsea reigning as the Champions and Matteo looking to acquire young players, Stamford bridge is looking at a rejuvenated stance.
Chelsea is sitting pretty at the top of the table, which might be prompting Di Matteo to look for new talent to bolster the bench strength as the young players might come in handy at later stages of the tournament.

Lampard has been a very infuential player for Chelsea but definately age is catching up with him in 'my opinion its a good thing that he move on to the US so that chance is created for younger players. I would like Sturridge to play more often.
