Chelsea transfer news: Strikers top Roman Abramovich’s priority list

Roman Abramovich is ringing transfer news bells for Chelsea FC as reports suggest that the Blues are planning to enter the bidding process to sign Real Madrid striker, Gonzalo Higuain. With the dearth of strikers at Stamford Bridge the Argentine striker could provide the aim the Blues seem to be lacking.

The recent string of victories of Chelsea FC was marred their loss to QPR on Wednesday as the Blues lost by a lone goal. The Real Madrid FC striker is reported to be valued at £24 million and as we know Abramovich has never backed down from spending money to acquire his targets. The signing of Fernando Torres and the initiation to fulfill the terms of the release clause of Radamel Falco stand proof to his intentions.

Newcastle striker, Demba Ba is reported to complete the formalities for a transfer move to Chelsea FC and is scheduled to appear for a medical examination on Thursday. Confirming the transfer of the Senegalese striker, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew said, “It’s done, he will go to Chelsea with our blessing.”

Earlier, reports about a stand-off over fee surfaced, threatening to cancel the transfer move of Demba Ba. The 27-year-old striker has scored 13 times in 20 league appearances making him a valuable asset for the striker-depleted Blues side. Some reports suggest that Demba Ba might make his first appearance for Chelsea FC at this weekend against Southampton.

Chelsea FC discard, Frank Lampard has been on the radar of many clubs since the Blues shut its doors on the veteran. Inter Milan is the latest addition to the Lampard transfer club, which is already brimming with offers from LA Galaxy, Manchester United and Lazio.
