Chelsea transfer news and rumours: David Alaba, Neymar, Lampard
Chelsea FC transfer news suggest that the Blues might be looking to swoop Bayern Munich left-back, David Alaba, who is reported to be termed as a replacement for Ashley Cole by Roman Abramovich. The Blues veteran was speculated to leave at the end of this season, but the player’s contract was renewed by the Stamford Bridge side for one more year making him the highest-paid defender.
The 20-year-old, Alaba has been a constant performer for Bayern Munich in the last couple of seasons, but the talented Austrian international might have to fight for his place with Ryan Bertrand. The Blues have turned down two bids from West Ham United for a loan transfer of Bertrand, hinting the competition Alaba is going to face if he comes into the side.
Chelsea FC target, Neymar might be poached away by Guardiola as he takes the reigns of Bayern Munich. Neymar expressed his admiration for Guardiola, but stated that he would like to stay in Sao Paulo. Voicing his thoughts, he said, “Guardiola is a great coach. He is one of the best in the world and I do want to work with him, as well as with other great coaches. But I’ll say it again: I want to stay at Santos, I am happy here.”
Former Chelsea FC manager, Robert di Matteo believes that the Blues discard, Frank Lampard should move to Lazio as it would be beneficial for both the parties. Matteo said, “Lampard is a great player and a great professional, so I am certain he can play at least another two years at the top level. I don’t know if he will join Lazio or not, but it would certainly be a good move for both parties.”
CSKA Moscow have reportedly inquired about the availability of Marko Marin on loan for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old has not matched the expectations, and has not yet found the back of the net once.
