Chelsea transfer news: Mario Gomez, Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani

Mario Gomez to Chelsea?

Chelsea FC is looking to sign Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez

Chelsea FC transfer news reports suggest that the Blues are looking to sign two to three new players during the summer transfer window. The Stamford Bridge side is reported to look for a replacement for struggling Fernando Torres on the German shores. Chelsea FC is apparently moving towards signing Bayern Munich striker, Mario Gomez, who has been on the bench since his return from injury.

Valued at £36 million, Gomez could solve the striking problems of Chelsea FC. The German forward has been consistent in his goal-scoring forays with 80 goals in 92 appearances over the previous two campaigns and with his future at Allianz Arena not taking any flight, Gomez might look to move out of Bundesliga. Pep Guardiola is also expected to bring in more strikers during summer, which again forces the German forward to think of a transfer move.

Chelsea FC has been constantly linked with multiple players as they brought in Demba Ba during the previous transfer window. Atletico Madrid striker, Radamel Falcao has emerged as the top contenders for booking a Blues number during the summer transfer window. Real Madrid and Manchester City also have their eye on Falcao.

Malaga playmaker, Isco and Napoli striker, Edinson Cavani have also been linked to the Stamford Bridge side. Talking about the transfers during summer, Chelsea FC chief executive, Ron Gourlay said, “We will continue to strength the team and I am expecting the introduction of two or three new players and hopefully they will be in place in time to be part of the team in Thailand.”

Gourlay had earlier stated that the Blues were in talks with Frank Lampard over the extension of his contract, which was later denied by Chelsea FC. Lampard is out of contract at the end of this season and has been offered contracts by many clubs, but not the Blues.
