Chelsea transfer target Jose Mourinho

‘Why always me?’ cries former Chelsea boss Mourinho

News from the Chelsea transfer rumour mill this morning comes from the continent, and yes you guessed it, Jose Mourinho is being tipped to return to Stamford Bridge for a second spell in charge of the Premier League side.

The Special One, aka Jose Mourinho, has endured a roller-coaster of a season in La Liga with millionaires boys club Real Madrid but after successive dire results and under par performances from recognized Galacticos it is looking increasingly like the Portuguese manager is about to call it a day.

Good news then for Chelsea fans who are sick to the back teeth with current boss Rafa Benitez who led the Blues into an ambush at Newcastle at the weekend, as the general consensus is that Mourinho would be welcomed back with open arms.

Despite the onslaught of rumours coming from the football back pages linking Mourinho to his old club, the bookies are calling it a two horse race as to which Premier League team he will join next season.

The Special One has been cut to 5-2 to replace Rafa Benitez at Stamford Bridge, which are decent odds but at 7-4 the rumours point to Manchester City as his most likely destination after Real Madrid.

The bookies also have Mourinho to replace Carlo Ancelotti as the next manager at PSG at 9-2 should you fancy an outside stake, although this is at greater value for obvious reasons.

In other transfer news Chelsea will have to make do with Demba Ba and Fernando Torres collective firepower for the immediate futire as long-term target Stevan Jovetic of Fiorentia is not joing the Blues any time soon.

Jovetic has reiterated his desire to stay in Italy following reports that several English teams including Arsenal and Manchester City clubs were keen on luring him to the Premier League.

In a recent interview the 22-year-old commented: “I am happy to be at the centre of this project at Fiorentina. I’m looking to show on the field that I am happy to still be in Florence. I decided to stay at Fiorentina and I am very happy. I want to try and win something here,”
