Chelsea transfer news and rumours: Pep Guardiola, Radamel Falcao, Willian
After Fernando Torres transfer speculations rocked the boat for Chelsea FC transfer news reports, it is time for a glimmer of hope for the Blues fans as Pep Guardiola has expressed his desire to manage a side in the English Premier lLague. This trend seems to be going around in recent times as earlier, Real Madrid FC manager, Jose Mourinho also stated his intentions of a return to the English football scene.
Guardiola, who has led Barcelona FC to 14 trophies in four seasons, is set to tip off a bidding war between Chelsea FC, Manchester City FC and Manchester United FC as these clubs are looking to procure him. Roman Abramovich is reported to be preparing an £18 million-a-year deal for Guardiola, which will make him the highest paid manager in the English Premier League, if he accepts the offer.
Talking about his intentions, Guardiola said, “As a player I couldn’t realise my dream to play in England. But I hope in the future, I have a challenge to be a coach or a manager there. It is unique, to play in that league. I want to feel the supporters, the environment, the media and the style of the players and everything.”
Recent reports suggest that Radamel Falcao has decided to join Chelsea FC in summer, which should bring a wave of joy for the Blues fans after the demoralising defeat against Swansea. Though the reports cannot be confirmed, but there is no harm in hoping. (With current results Chelsea needs hope!)
Chelsea FC has been linked to many players during the January transfer window, courtesy of Roman Abramovich’s spending habits. Shakhtar Donetsk forward, Willian and Real Betis midfielder, Benat Etxebarria have also joined the long list of prospects.
