Chelsea left winger Florent Malouda will now be training with the youth team of the club for the last year of his £80,000 per week stay at Stamford Bridge after the French footballer failed to agree a deal in spite of offers from Brazil and other Premier League clubs.

The 32-year-old France international announced his exit from the first team of the club via Twitter, where he posted a picture of the headquarters of Chelsea‘s under-21 side. “This is where I’ll train for my last season with the blues,” Florent tweeted.

Florent Malouda is being given the same treatment, which two senior players – Nicolas Anelka and Alex fanned, received during André Villas-Boas tenure as manager. Although the club insists Malouda’s situation is different, as he wanted to leave the club and rejoin the French club on a free transfer.

Malouda was reportedly in talks with Santos in Brazil, but failed to sign a deal his wage demands. Chelsea, last night, confirmed that Malouda has no place in Roberto Di Matteo’s first team, but maintained that he will play in the club’s 25-man Premier League squad.

Malouda has been effectively replaced by Ryan Bertrand in Matteo’s squad. Chelsea announced that Ryan Bertrand, 23, has signed a new five-year deal at the club. Bertrand reportedly has become the first man ever to make his Champions League debut in the final itself in May.

Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge will continues at Chelsea despite the fears that his not being if regular can affect his chances of making to England’s World Cup squad in 2014. Sturridge was hence seeking a permanent move to Liverpool or Arsenal, but missed out the chances.
