Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Tom Ince, Diakite, Nuri Sahin
Liverpool FC transfer news hint that Daniel Sturridge will not be the only signing by the Reds during this transfer window as the Anfield side closes on a £6 million deal for Blackpool winger, Tom Ince. Liverpool FC had initially made an offer of £4.75 million, but recent developments suggest that the Reds will settle for £6 million.
Blackpool has been pushing for a transfer worth £7 million. Swansea had also inquired about the transfer fees of the player, but were reported to return as the amount was too high for the club. Ince will return for a second stint at Anfield if the terms of the deal are fulfilled.
Liverpool FC has also been linked to Diakite, the central defender, who is out of contract in summer, which is an added benefit. The Reds were reported to start initial talks with the Lazio player, but failed to reach a common ground about the wages and the length of the contract. The second round of negotiations is reported to yield a positive result.
Nuri Sahin has been on the radar of many clubs and Liverpool FC might cut short the midfielder’s loan spell due to the increased interest in the player. AC Milan recently inquired about the player with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan already in the lurk. Dortmund, Sahin’s former club seems to be leading the race to sign the player during this window.
Other Liverpool FC transfer news reports suggest that the Reds are also targeting another midfielder, Kevin Strootman, who is valued at £18 million. The PSV Eindhoven player’s move has been ruled out for the January window, but could appear at Anfield during the summer.
