Brendan Rodgers is looking to add more firepower to the Reds by targeting Kevin Gameiro

Liverpool FC transfer news brings in reports about Brendan Rodgers confirming a busy summer for the Reds in terms of acquiring talent. The Kop boss stated that there was lot of work going on behind the scenes and the club’s scouts were preparing a list of players to target during the summer transfer window.

Rodgers is planning for a double-swoop of Paris Saint-Germain pair, Jeremy Menez and Kevin Gameiro. The Anfield side was linked to Gameiro for a winter transfer move, but the Reds reportedly failed to procure the funds necessary for the transfer. Reports suggest that Liverpool FC will pursue the forward again as the summer window opens.

Menez has been warming the bench on various occasions in recent times, which is apparently the result of a fallout between him and Carlo Ancelloti. The french international is reportedly looking for a way out from the French club and Rodgers might shine the light on his exit. Gameiro has also been left out of the squad on a regular basis, which might have prompted the interest of Liverpool FC.

Newcastle United midfielder, Hatem Ben Arfa is apparently a priority target for the Anfield side according to the emerging transfer news reports. Talking about the busy summer, Rodgers said, “There is no doubt there is a natural rebuilding that will come with the likes of Carragher going. I am happy with the squad if I can then put another three or four quality players to it.”

Malaga playmaker, Manuel Iturra will be shortly seen at Anfield as recent reports suggest that Liverpool FC has agreed on the terms to sign the Chilean international. The 28-year-old had refused to renew his contract at La Rosaleda and since his current contract is set to expire this summer, it will be a free transfer for the Reds.
