Liverpool transfer news: Luis Suarez welcomes bids from other sides again
Liverpool FC transfer news reports are brimming with a surprise statement from Luis Suarez as the forward has stated his intention of listening to offers from other clubs. The Uruguayan international had earlier stated a similar thought, but his agent retracted the attention by saying, that the player is happy at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers also confirmed the forward’s long stay with the Reds, but with the recent statement from Suarez, things will continue to spiral down around the club as Rodgers tries to build his squad. The 26-year-old has put the top clubs across different football leagues on high alert after his statement and this summer could turn out to be a different time for the Reds.
Despite the forward stating that he is happy at Anfield, his recent statement about welcoming bids from the top-tier teams, presents a contrast in his thoughts. Suarez has been the lone ranger of the strike force of Liverpool FC before the arrival of Sturridge from the Blues in the January transfer window.
Commenting on his future, Suarez said, “A player’s ambition is always there, the ambition of wanting to play in elite teams is always there. If another team comes around with more prospects of competing in international club competition games, which is willing to have me, they are welcome. We would talk to the club, we would see if I want to go, if I don’t want to go.”
The Uruguayan forward has scored 29 goals this season and is under contract with the Anfield side till 2017. Suarez also stated his appreciation for the methods utilised by Rodgers and the adapting techniques of the players. Liverpool FC are currently placed at seventh position on the Premier League table, nine points behind the fourth placed team.
Juventus and Bayern Munich have been marked by trade pundits as the teams which are looking to acquire the controversial forward. Do you think Suarez will leave Liverpool FC?
