Liverpool transfer news: Luis Suarez, Guillermo Ochoa, Wilfried Bony

Brendan Rodgers on Luis Suarez

Brendan Rodgers has stated that Luis Suarez will not be leaving Anfield

Liverpool FC transfer news reports were wagging about the intentions of Luis Suarez about thinking of making a move to Bayern Munich, but recent developments state that the striker will not leave the Anfield side. Reds’ fans can heave a sigh of relief as Brendan Rodgers stated that the Uruguayan striker will stay with Liverpool FC.

Rodgers was reportedly given assurance from the striker’s agent that Suarez is happy at the club and is committed to its cause. Brendan stated that Suarez would stay at Anfield over the next couple of years after he had a talk with the forward. Rumours about Luis Suarez moving to Bayern were running wild after the German club appointed Pep Guardiola as their manager.

Negating the rumours of the transfer Rodgers said, “There’s no getting away from it, Luis has been brilliant this year, but I haven’t seen anything different that would make me feel he wouldn’t be here. I had a great conversation with his agent a couple of weeks ago. He came in and rolled it out that he was so happy here and he was keen over the next couple of years for the club to progress.”

Suarez echoed Rodger’s thoughts as he said, “I always say the same thing, every kid or young player growing up dreams of playing here at Liverpool, and today, here I am, highly privileged doing just that. I enjoy every minute to the maximum because it’s a great opportunity that my life has presented me and for which I am very pleased.”

Liverpool FC received a boost as their target, Ajaccio goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa, stated that he would consider his options for the summer transfer window. The Reds have been in a spot of bother over the uncertainty of the situation of Pepe Reina. The Anfield side has also been linked to Vitesse Arnhem striker, Wilfried Bony, who failed to secure a move to the Russian Premier League.
