Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Wesley Sneijder, Victor Valdes, Sebastian Coates
Liverpool FC transfer news reports brings in some not so good information for the Reds fans, who wanted to see Wesley Sneijder at Anfield, as Brendan Rodgers’ recent comments suggest that the deal is unlikely to happen. The Dutch international has been strongly linked to Liverpool FC for a possible move during this transfer window.
Some reports hint that the Anfield side is not ready to pay £6 million to bring the midfielder into its ranks. Sneijder has left not stone unturned in expressing his eagerness to move to the Premier League. Turkish giants, Galatasaray are reported to make the desired offer to the player, but he is keeping them in lurch till the transfer window ends. (Some more time and Galatasaray might get pissed and take off)
Commenting on the possibility of the transfer of Sneijder, Rodgers said, “You could probably rattle off about 20 names and the answer would be the same. The club have been linked with a whole host of players, but I couldn’t see that happening.” Rodgers also stated that Sturridge was the club’s main priority and they raked him in, but vowed to keep searching for more players.
Liverpool FC received a strong boost in terms of stopping supplies as Victor Valdes disclosed that he would not be signing a new contract with Barcelona FC. The Reds have been constantly monitoring the situation of what can be called as a possible replacement for Pepe Reina, who has been linked to Arsenal FC and a group of Spanish clubs.
West Brom boss, Steve Clarke is reported to want Liverpool FC defender, Sebastian Coates with the thought of reviving Coates struggling career. Reports suggest that a loan deal might transpire between the two clubs in the next 24 hours.
