Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Wesley Sneijder, Josip Ilici, Tom Ince
Liverpool FC transfer news reports kick a forward pass to the availability of Wesley Sneijder at a reduced price of £6.3 million. The Dutch international has been offered a contract by Galatasaray, who are reported to wait for another three to four days for the approval of the striker. Sneijder is looking for a move to the Premier league, which might not be feasible.
Wesley Sneijder is reported to be relaxed as he said that he would wait for the transfer window to close by the end of January and make his decision about the transfer move, but Galatasaray will not wait for two weeks for the player according to a statement from the club president, Unal Aysal.
Talking to the media in Turkey Unal said, “We’ll wait another three or four days for Sneijder. If the deal collapses, we have alternatives. The figures quoted in the media are wrong. Our deal with Inter is worth £6.3 million. The player knows our proposal.” Sneijder has been labelled as a Liverpool FC target, but managing director, Ian Ayre at Anfield, said that the club had no interest in buying the player.
Liverpool FC is reported to adopt a new strategy for signing players as it initiated the process of contracts with lower basic salaries and more performance-related bonuses to avoid any lucrative deals, which later do not match expectations. The Anfield side might have to anchor their plans for signing Palermo midfielder, Josip Ilici, as he is reported to stay with his current club.
The return of Tom Ince to Liverpool FC is still on hold with recent developments suggesting more delays. Liverpool FC were looking forward to £7 million deal, but Blackpool is restraining from any response to the Anfield side’s inquiries.
