Manchester City transfer news and rumours: Cavani, Wanyama, El Shaarawy
Manchester City FC transfer news suggest that the Sky Blues are looking to create a major void in their bank balance with £60 million worth of contracts. City is looking to fulfill a record £52 million release clause in the contract of Napoli striker, Edinson Cavani for a possible summer transfer move.
The Sky Blues have reportedly begun talks with the Italian club, which were previously halted due to the release clause. City boss, Mancini missed out on signing Robin Van Persie last summer from Arsenal FC and has regretted the fact ever since then. Mancini would be hoping not to miss on the signing of Cavani as Falcao seems to be set for a move to Chelsea FC.
Manchester City FC will have strong competition from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for Cavani. Celtic midfielder, Victor Wanyama also features in the spending spree of City for the summer transfer window. The Sky Blues would be facing more stiff competition for the signing of the Kenyan international as Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC and Manchester United FC have also been monitoring the player.
Mancini is reportedly looking to offload £25 million rated striker, Edin Dzeko to balance the trade during the summer transfer window. The 26-year-old Bosnian forward has attracted the attention of football clubs in Germany and Italy. Manchester City FC has reportedly negated a bid for David Silva from Real Madrid for a transfer during the summer.
Manchester City FC target, Stephan El Shaarawy is apparently set to sign a new deal at AC Milan, which will keep him at the Italian club until the summer of 2018. The forward has scored 17 goals in this season and has also been linked to Arsenal FC.
