Manchester United transfer news and rumours: Lewandowski, Sneijder, Di Maria
Manchester United FC transfer news hint towards a situation, which might suggest that either the Red Devils are losing interest in Borussia Dortmund striker, Robert Lewandowski or they are planning to make a move on the him. Borussia has stated that the club is yet to receive any bids from the Old Trafford side or Bayern Munich, which has also been linked to the player.
Lewandowski is out of contract next year and was linked with a move to Man U for £12million. The Poland international was reported to sign a five-year-deal with the premier league leaders, but the reports turned out to be mere speculations. Recent reports suggested that Lewandowski would move to Allianz arena along with Pep Guardiola.
Talking about the transfer of Lewandowski, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said, “There have been no enquiries. I am aware of interest in the player, but that is only natural, considering his qualities. We are in a position where we are not forced to sell players. When there is an offer, we will talk with Robert, but there is a good chance that he will choose to stay with us.”
Wesley Sneijder claimed that Manchester United FC had bid £17 million for the Holland international, but Inter Milan rejected the offer. Sneijder had been linked with a move to the Old Trafford side during the winter transfer window. He said, “I wanted to go to United but Inter didn’t let me. And then, they asked me to lower my wage. I didn’t accept it.”
Manchester United FC has expressed their intentions to sign Real Madrid FC winger, Angel di Maria, in the summer. Inter Milan have also been monitoring the Argentine player. Nani might be on his way to the exit door from the Old Trafford side.
