Manchester United transfer news: Javier Hernandez, Rooney, Leighton Baines
Manchester United FC transfer news brings in some confusion as the Red Devils are rumoured to part ways with at least one of their strikers. Javier Hernandez was linked with a transfer move to Real Madrid FC and was the favourite to depart from the current crop of strikers present at the Old Trafford side, however speculations about Rooney gained momentum and speculations about Chicharito’s transfer seem to have vanished.
Robert Lewandowski has expressed his intentions of moving to the Premier League with Man U being his first choice. Sir Alex Ferguson is an admirer of the Borussia Dortmund striker, who has scored 17 goals in just 22 league games in this season to take his tally to 63 in 123 appearances. With four strikers already present among the Red Devils, this might be a tricky situation for Ferguson.
Sir Alex Ferguson had earlier planned to make a £17 million bid for Lewandowski, but pulled out after signing Robin van Persie. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also been linked to Manchester United FC for an exchange transfer in the summer with Wayne Rooney. Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly prepared a £35 million bid for the English striker if the swap deal fails.
Ibrahimovic is also on the target of Bayern Munich as Pep Guardiola takes over the current Bundesliga leaders. The former Barcelona FC manager signed the Sweden striker to Camp Nou when he was with the Catalans and with recent reports suggesting Ibrahimovic disillusioned with his life in France, convincing him would not be a problem.
Everton defender, Leighton Baines is reportedly heading for the exit doors from Goodinson Park during the summer transfer window. Baines has been a long-term target of Sir Alex Ferguson, which has led to the speculations about Manchester United FC preparing a bid for the English player.
