Manchester United latest news: Zoran Tosic joins CSKA Moscow
Owing to his issues with Sir Alex Fergueson, Zoran Tosic has quit playing for Manchester united after just 5 games switching to Russian Club CSKA Moscow. The change seems valid as Tosic was never given any opportunities to prove himself in the Manchester United Squad.
The 23-year-old Serbian had appeared for only two appearances to his name in the first 12 months at Old Trafford. On account of lack of opportunities, he had endured enough and walked out of the team before it got too late in spite of him arriving amidst great hype in an £8 million move from Partizan Belgrade in the year 2009.
“My relationship with Sir Alex was good. He is like that with all the players. He wants them to feel happy and that’s one reason why he is so successful. He is an excellent man-manager. My time in Manchester did not go as I had hoped but I never had a problem with Sir Alex,” said Zoran on defending his issues with Alex Fergueson.
The Serbian, currently on World Cup duty, was not willing to return to the Premier League, and had reiterated his desire to stay in Cologne. However the Bundesliga Club could not match the asking price. CSKA were interested and could also afford the £8 Million price-tag. Today Tosic signed five-year deal with the Russians, keeping him in the Russian Premier League until the summer of 2015.
The interesting part of the switch was that when Zoran was selected amidst all the hype that a star had arrived, he was expected to replace veteran Ryan Giggs as a winger.
The tables seem to have turned for a really long time.
