USADA files evidence on Armstrong as former cyclists urge him to come clean
USADA’s report on Lance Armstrong has opened the flood gates for humiliating instances for the disgraced star. Lance Armstrong was branded as a serial cheat by USADA after stripping him off his Tour de France titles. USADA report, an anthology of evidence of Armstrong’s doping habits was compiled with the help of the statements from the star’s former colleagues.
With the USADA submitting colossal evidence against Lance Armstrong in the biggest doping scandal of sports history, the pressure on the fallen star is increasing with every passing minute. Tyler Hamilton, who assisted the USADA in collecting evidence against Armstrong asked the cyclist to come clean about his involvement in the doping case.
Speaking on Melbourne radio, Hamilton said, “”I just feel for his situation. It’s got to be hard. He’s got to be a broken soul right now. It’s never too late to tell the truth. There’s going to be consequences. There’s probably a lot of money at stake if he tells the truth, but I guarantee he’s going to lead a much happier second half of his life if he comes out and comes clean.”
Lance Armstrong is bearing the full force of USADA as the anti-doping agency is pushing for stripping off Armstrong’s Olympic medals, but the International Olympic Commission (IOC) stated that the Olympic body will wait for the decision of the cycling governing body. USADA report continues to grow in size as Armstrong gets buried in the mountain of evidence against him.
Nike, the athletic apparel manufacturer giant continues to stand by Lance Armstrong despite USADA’s doping claims against the star. Armstrong’s fate lies in the hands of International Cycling Union (UCI), which has time till October 31 to announce its decision.
