NBA trade rumours: Josh Smith, Dwight Howard, Dejuan Blair
NBA trade rumours are rising as the deadline grows near for the top teams to buy and sell players. LA Lakers have not yet clarified their stance on Dwight Howard, with many media avenues posing questions over the injury plagued player. Howard has been stated as a misfit for the Lakers by many experts. Josh Smith has been the subject of the discussion of many trade talks.
Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Charlotte Bobcats and Antonio Spurs have been in the pursuit of the Atlanta Hawks guard. The absence of the talks between Smith and the Hawks have also fueled the trade rumours. Smith had earlier stated that he is worthy of a max contract.
Reports suggest that Jazz are most likely to deal Paul Millsap rather than Al Jefferson before the trade deadline. San Antonio reportedly offered forward Dejuan Blair to Detroit Pistons, but were turned down. Though, Lakers have not expressed their interest in Dejuan Blair, some experts believe that he could be the right fit for the team.
Devin Harris and DeShawn Stevenson fueled speculations of a return to Dallas Mavericks as they expressed their intentions about coming back to the Mavs. Harris said, “It would be great to come back here. I loved it in Dallas.” while DeShawn stated, “I would love to spend my last two or three seasons in a Mavs uniform.”
