Morning sports fans, with the start of the season just weeks away we look to the potential trades of late September, starting with news from the Orlando Magic setup, which is close to bringing in at least two new additions to the squad.
Close sources in Orlando have put truth to the rumors that the Magic will move one step closer to rebuilding its title-contending side, making a move for DeQuan Jones and Armond Johnson, giving them 19 on roster.
In other NBA trade news agent Chris McGary is at the center of a media shower after announcing that client Japeth Aguilar has been invited to a two-day workout for another National Basketball Association (NBA) team this weekend.
McGary confirmed that Filipino basketball player Japeth Aguilar two NBA teams have contacted him about the 6-foot-9 power forward, with a likely outcome on the player’s destination to be finalized soon.
Moving across to LA and Clippers point guard Chris Paul, of GQ fame, told the magazine he made the right decision to snub the Los Angeles Lakers last year.
“They had the better pieces,” Paul said. “And winning with the Clippers would be legendary.”
Fans awaiting the NBA schedule can look forward to the start of the Clippers’ training camp on Oct. 1, followed by a preseason game against local rivals Lakers on Oct. 24. Their 2012/13 season debut will kick of on Nov. 2.
