LA Lakers trade rumors: Still no replacement for Jordan Hill?
The rumor mill is cranking up a gear as the NBA trade window draws to a climax, there’s just two weeks remaining for West Coast Galacticos LA Lakers to add muscle to its squad and news from inside the camp reveals there’s indication to bring in a star for injured Jordan Hill.
The only talk of a replacement for LA Lakers during this winter period seems to be that of Jordan Hill’s hip, not his stand-in for the remainder of the season, as the franchise is still dwelling on trading in the free market, according to close sources.
It’s true that the Lakers did receive a $1.7 million disabled player exception from the NBA for a player to replace Jordan Hill; however, the lack of trade activity has sparked rumors that his colleagues will have to make do without extra help.
The word on the street is that the Lakers are reluctant to add fresh meat to the current setup as Mike D’Antoni doesn’t want to play post-basketball, that being said the team would surely benefit more from trading than letting capital rot.
Some critics believing the rumors to be true point out that it’s too late to try to integrate a new recruit to the run of play at La, citing the Lakers are to pushed for time to test out new strategies on court.
